I decided to remake the gun that those soldier models I made (refer to the bottom of the post) use. I felt like the old one looked sloppy and forgettable, so instead of just improving it, I completely remade it!
Just like the original, this model has bones and can be posed.
A look at the underside of the gun, showing the ejection port. Spent casings are ejected straight down to allow the weapon to be completely ambidextrous.
The weapon’s magazine. It has the same kind of polymer-cased ammunition as the original. The style of magazine was inspired by old soviet polymer AK magazines.
